Continuing on in our blatant worship of six string legends, we are now putting the pieces together for a tribute to the legendary grandfathers of guitar, Shrapnel Records. Again we will feature 10 to 12 of today's top up-n-coming talent. So far, the confirmed artists are Rick Valero, Jae Valentine, Derryl Gabel, Marcel Coenen, Dave Atherton and Jimmy Williams. In continuing in our (new) tradition, this will be another enhanced CD featuring original MP3's from each artist and possibly some other goodies….

DERRYL GABEL UPDATE: Things are moving along quite well as Derryl has scored an endorsement from Parker Guitars. Other worthy news is that he will be recording a track for the second installment of "Warmth In The Wilderness: A Tribute to Jason Becker". Lastly, Derryl has completed an interview with Germany's Rock Reunion.com….

We have confirmed that we will be releasing a VCD for a highly renowned instrumental / progressive trio from New York. We'll issue more details as they become solidified. This will be our first offering of our Up Close & Personal VCD series….

We are pleased to announce the signing of guitarist Jimmy Williams, who some of you may recognize as the guitarist for Nuclear Blast Records Recording Artists STEEL PROPHET. In early 2002 we'll be releasing his debut solo CD, "Guitar Concepts". The album is a collection of various instrumentals that he has recorded over the years. Though many of the tracks have been available via MP3.com, the album will contain two brand new tracks, along with bonus material that includes a video, transcriptions and free Power Tab software. Please keep checking back for further information….

Division have recently recorded tracks to be featured on two tribute albums to be released through WWIII Records. The tracks are: "Lady Evil" (Black Sabbath tribute) and "Dyer's Eve" (Metallica tribute). Look for release information to be announced soon. In other news, the band is in the process of re-recording all the drums for their upcoming release "Trinity" and mulling through prospects to replace former vocalist Scott Stewart. For those of you who would like a copy of the album with Scott, keep an eye out for the Taiwan pressing of the album due in the next couple of months…

We are pleased to announce that Progressive Arts Music has signed a distribution deal with Rock Empire Records for the territory of Taiwan. Release dates are expected to be handed to us shortly. We would like to thank Mr. Steve Vai and the folks at Favored Nations Records for hooking us up…
