Some Ways of Tapping

Hi,

I'm Flávio Tito and this is my first column at Chops From Hell and I really hope you enjoy it. I'm 24 and I play guitar in a brazilian heavy/prog metal band called Moonrise. For this time I'll show you some ways of tapping so let's forget the pick for a while.

This first exercise I used in a Moonrise's song called Tears From a Wasted Life by Victor Guidini. It's in C minor, try to make all the notes sound equally and be careful to suffocate the strings to avoid the noise.

The next one is also from Tears From a Wasted Life, it consists of a tapping with some slides with the left hand, it starts with five notes per beat and then it changes to eight on the last bar. The key is E minor.

This one has the same idea of the first one, however now the key is C major and it goes until the string 5.

This last kind of tapping is much easier than the first ones, but doesn't make it less useful. The key is D minor.

Any comments? Write me please…
