This idea uses the 9 (or octave of the 2) based in Lydian. Starts in A using the 1, 5, 9 moving up playing the 3, 7, #4 up to the 5, 2, 3 pull off back to the 2, 5, 3 moving back down to the 3, 9, 5, 3. Repeat the sequence in G. Then move up to the D maj7add9. Play 1, 5, 9 moving to 3, 7, #4, 5 slide from 2 to 3 back down 9, 5, 2, 1, 7, 5, 3. The D7add9 we only change the 7 to a b7. It ends with a Major add9 sequence in C# and B.
