"Satya"

Ed. Note: Chops from Hell is extremely pleased to have Santiago Dobles of AGHORA involved at the site!

This is a legato section from Satya from our debut AGHORA CD 2000. The section tab is from the solo 3:39 - 3:45. It's a legato line that uses C Dominant 7 Arpeggio flowing into C Pentatonic, then ending with C Mixo b9b13 with a little tapping slide.

Santiago began playing guitar at the age of 11. As a teenager he studied guitar with Jae Valentine and Robin Stone. At 18 he entered the Berklee School of Music, majoring in composition, film scoring, and guitar. Outside of Berklee, he studied guitar with Paul Masvidal (of Death and Cynic), and through correspondence with Derek Taylor (Shrapnel recording artist) & Derryl Gabel. He also studied sound engineering at Miami Dade College. His influences in music begin with his father Gustavo Dobles a symphonic composer, Steve Vai, Allan Holdsworth, Brett Garsed, Paul Gilbert, Nuno Bettencourt, Eddie Van Halen, Ron Thal, Greg Howe, Shawn Lane, CYNIC, PORTAL, TOOL, Jason Becker, Frank Zappa, Jimi Hendrix, Bjork, Peter Gabriel, Sting, L Shankar, John Mclaughlin, Shakti, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Zakir Hussein, Beethoven, Bach, Mozart, and Stravinsky.
