Instrumental Shred Album
FRANCESCO FARERI:
SUSPENSION

Suspension is an instrumental shred album where you can listen to the over the edge guitar techniques together with intricate piano and keyboards parts on a powerful drum programming, in the progressive neoclassical shred style. music only, no instructional material

"...I feel a particular effect of suspension when I hear this music, it seems as a bird that flies near the sea without touching it... his movements are very fast around the sea which changes his motion... and it creates a sense of intrigue between the guitar solo and the rhythm parts. The rhythm section is very fast, the drums is powerful on the solos that are very fluent... Anyway I feel the same sensation, more or less in every song. I hope to have shown my feelings not only with these few words but above all with my music..."

Feedback for Francesco's "Suspension":

"...Fareri is a player that strides to break sonic barriers with his guitar playing. He's the type of guy that writes music to inspire other musicians to be on top of their game. This album will go down in shred guitar history without a doubt..."
The Shredzone.com June, 2002

"...Your songs have very complex structures that make you have to pay attention, which is a good thing in progressive guitar music such as yours. You are one of the fastest players I have heard and your sweeping technique is flawless! My favorite song is Introspective, I love the sweep pattern which begins at 05:19 of that song. My second favorite is Secrets because it is very musical and shows a different side of your playing. It also provides a good contrast to the rest of the material on the CD. The keyboard parts also provide a good contrast to the heaviness and speed in the rest of the songs. Very creative use of keyboards!..."

"...Fareri is a young gun with huge potential - there is nothing to stop this guitar virtuoso from climbing to the top"
Guitar Mania November, 2001

"Wow! I just listened to your disc and it is really great! You have some amazing sweeping chops. You shred!!! Great job! It is very different stylistically from what I do, but I can still appreciate what you are doing and I respect you a great deal for your great talent and vision to your music. You really know how to play that guitar! On another note, I am totally impressed with your sense of melody when it comes to the piano themes and intros in your songs. They are very fabulous and I would explore some of the melodies in them. They are very deep and moody. I like that. Great job!"

"your CD shreds, I like your sweeping, picking & song arrangements"
Rob Johnson July 11, 2001

"Well known on web for his website with a lot of shred transcriptions (Greg Howe, G. Bellas, ...) and his very fast playing, Francesco offers with 'Suspension' his first commercial release. The less I can say is that it is shred. With some really weird orchestrations, including cool piano parts mixed with fast shreddy rythms, Francesco blows our mind with some of the fastest licks I've ever heard (and I've heard some !). Who said too fast ? Hey man, this is shred I've just said. If you like players like Rusty Cooley, Rob Johnson, or players that go beyond usual speed limit, you won't be disappointed and this guitar player should retain your attention. It is also intersting to see that it is not only a matter of how fast he is, as I've said there's some interesting things in orchestration and also in used harmony, from where filters some emotion (Point Break). You always wondered what the 21st century music look like ? Maybe it's time to hear it !..."
Guitar Heroes May, 2001

"...just wanted to let you know that your playing sounds Great!...
...stay in touch and keep up the great work"
Greg Howe April 05, 2001

"You can play guitar amazingly, I want to congratulate you on that for sure keep working you are great...you are very extremely talented and that's why I would like to tell you a few things... "
Vitalij Kuprij December 19, 2000

"...I like it better when you scale all over the neck with not so much sweeping.
It's just my opinion. I like to hear the pick on the strings.
You're fantastic and you'll only get better... "
Jon Doman December 8, 2000

"Cool tab Wow!!! Very nice job...and thanx a million for being a cool fan too. I'm sure you must be a superb player.
Maybe we'll hook up one day. Take care."
Greg Howe June 20, 2000

"Hey bro I thought the music was very cool! I enjoyed the keyboards lines very much and of course the guitar is fuckin smokin! Nice job, anyone can shred with practice but to compose something from nothing is unexplainably so awesome!"
George Bellas April 08, 2000

"Fareri dispara notas limpas e perfeitas, para todos os lados, por minutos e mais minutos em uma velocidade inacreditavel. E mais uma vez, digo, todas as notas sao perfeitamente audiveis. Nao ha nenhuma ‘sujeira’ nenhuma mascada, enfim nada. Voce vai ouvir o guitarrista mais técnico do mundo."
Thiago Correa
Whiplash magazine on line - Reviews de Demos February 2000

"Fareri can play at mind boggling, head numbing speed, especially swept licks which seem to dominate the music (at times, it seems almost every passage and run features sweep picking). We’re talking Michael Angelo speed here, and some of the passages are so fast it doesn’t even sound like a guitar is producing the sound"
